Wise Men still Seek Him

Hola mi Familia y Amigos,

I would like to share a great part from the talk given by Elder Patrick Kearon of the Seventy (Come, Let Us Adore Him).
"Finally, in Matthew 2 we read of the Wise Men, who journeyed far, having “seen his star in the east” and having understood the sign (verse 2). Prepared with gifts of tribute and worship, they came looking for Him, asking, “Where is he that is born King of the Jews?” (verse 2). When their search was finally over and they had found the Christ child, they “fell down, and worshipped him” and presented their treasures (verse 11)...
When personal revelation comes to alter the plans we have made, we can obey, having faith and trust that God knows what is best for us. And ultimately, through lives of true discipleship, we must fall down and worship the Savior in humility and love...
This discipleship doesn’t necessarily require us to leave our sheep in the fields or to cross deserts. Our journey to Him isn’t physical; it is spiritual and behavioral. It involves accepting and embracing the fact that His Atonement is infinite and covers every aspect of our lives—our sin, weakness, pain, sickness, and infirmity (see Alma 7:11–13). It means that we can let go of those things that hold us down in the gloomy fog of our own inversion and live instead in the warmth and love of the Light of the World. As President Henry B. Eyring, First Counselor in the First Presidency, has taught: “The words ‘come unto Christ’ are an invitation. It is the most important invitation you could ever offer to another person. It is the most important invitation anyone could accept.” "
We are contacting a lot of people with the Program "El es la Dadiva" or for you guys "He is the Gift". The cards we use to give to investigators or to contact new people. But we are also sharing the video with members. So since we cant give the cards to the members, I made them these ornaments. Just a lil Metalic Sharpy does the trick. They arent ooff amazing, but they are a nice touch for the Christmas Tree.

I had mentioned that when we were  helping a member she let us take her Christmas Deocrations to use in our house since she wont be here for Christmas. So yes, we have a full size tree in our house, yay! We used the lights she had, and then the ornaments I did, and we take a few off every day to give away. And we also placed some of the cards in the tree.

So it is a beautiful time of year to reflect on all that Jesus Christ has done for us, and how we can help others on their paths to encounter happiness.

P.S. This Saturday we have THREE baptisms, Lucia, Armando & Valeria. Aw their story is great!  :)  I will share it with you next week, and all about their baptisms.

I love you all, and I hope you have a great week! Find someone to help!

Love Always,
                    Hermana Smith
